Congratulations to the post busy season winners of Briggs & Veselka’s Legacy of Loyalty awards!
Joe Alcorta, Beverly Hensley, Melisa Hernandez, and Baria Jaroudi join our January winners (Betsy Johnson, Kelley Lau, and Rubik Yeriazarian) who have all demonstrated the firm’s key values of Excellence, Dedication, and Compassion in their everyday work.
- Joe Alcorta, Audit Principal, was cited for his excellence in technical skills, and his devotion to assume several large clients earlier this year. He exhibits a great dedication to the firm, our people, and our clients, and has proven himself to be someone who always steps up in a number of areas, without hesitation and always with a great positive attitude.
- Beverly Hensley, Tax Principal, was awarded the Legacy of Loyalty award because of her selfless attention to the needs of clients and those in the El Campo office. In her nomination, her nominee cited how active she is in the El Campo community, both in support of the firm, but also in her support of individuals in need.
- Melisa Hernandez, Tax Supervisor, was nominated by two of her associates. She was cited for her work ethic, client interface, and for being an accessible resource to her teams and others in the tax department. As an example of her devotion to Excellence, one of her nominees wrote, “she attacked a very difficult partnership return with 135 partners head-on, under a very tight deadline due to some client issues.”
- Baria Jaroudi, Valuation Manager, was cited for being a consummate professional who prides herself on technical excellence, working to develop her practice development skills, and continuously volunteering for initiatives within the firm and in the professional community. In her nomination form, her nominee wrote, “Baria is a quiet supporter of others and seems to come up with solutions that might help someone in need, without calling attention to herself.”
